Game #1 - Nun Massacre

ONE OF THE MOST INTENSE GAMES I’VE EVER PLAYED

GENRE: HORROR, RETRO, 80s SLASHER

Nun Massacre is an indie horror cult classic.

Made by the legend Puppet Combo, if you haven’t played you MUST!

The gameplay is simple: explore the school, find items and eventually escape whilst avoiding the Nun.

The atmosphere is perfect and will leave you feeling on edge the entire time.

Also, yes, the Nun can climb into the vents with you!

I recommend playing with headphones and with the lights off, it really adds to the experience.

Game #2 - Solitomb

A GENIUS BLEND OF SOLITAIRE AND BALATRO

GENRE: SOLITAIRE ROUGELIKE, DUNGEON CRAWLER, CARD GAME, STRATEGY

Solitomb was recently announced by dev, Jakub Wasilewski, who shared his demo/prototype on Bluesky.

I love Balatro and have been looking for more games to scratch my itch.

Solitomb has been the solution.

It combines elements of solitaire with dungeon-crawling and demon-fighting mechanics.

You must combine stacks of cards to defeat your enemies.

There is a tutorial available which will help you understand the game quickly. It seems complicated at first but eventually it will make sense.

The current version is available on Itch for free and is going to be made into a full Steam release over the next few months.

I recommend playing the Itch version as it is already well polished and addictive.

Game #3 - Golden Lap

GO BACK TO THE GOLDEN ERA OF RACING

GENRE: SIMULATION, RACING, MANAGEMENT, 2D

Manage a motorsport racing team during the iconic 70s era of racing.

Navigate through the unique challenges of the era like evolving car technology, less safety measures and greater unpredictability.

You play as the head of a racing team, making critical decisions to lead your drivers, staff, and cars to success.

Your goal is to build a legacy, whether by transforming an underdog team into champions or maintaining the dominance of an established dynasty

Balance spending on drivers, support staff, car development, and sponsorships to gain a competitive edge.

Navigate the strengths and weaknesses of team members, whose personality traits can influence finances, car performance, and race results.

Focus on high-stakes decision-making without getting bogged down by micromanagement.

Game #4 - The Cabin Factory

EXPLORE HAUNTED CABINS

GENRE: PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR

The Cabin Factory blew up on TikTok this week. Its unique premise and understanding of how to make players feel on edge have helped make it go viral.

The game officially released today and is only $3.

So far the reviews have been positive and I expect it to sell well over the next few weeks.

Definitely worth checking out this weeked.

Game #5 - Cataclismo

RTS with stone by stone construction

GENRE: STRATEGY, SIMULATION, RTS, BASE BUILDING

Design and build your own fortresses to withstand attacks from endless hordes of monsters.

Balance resources, defense, attack, siege, exploration and base design.

I love the mix of RTS with building your own base brick by brick.

It gives the game so much replayablility and adds a new layer of management.

I highly recommend checking out Cataclismo.

Game #6 - Flocking Hell

DEFEND YOUR PASTURE FROM DEMON LEGIONS

GENRE: TURN BASED STRATEGY, CITY BUILDER

Flocking Hell is a turn-based strategy roguelite where you defend your sheep-filled pastures from adorable yet sinister demon legions.

The game combines relaxed exploration with auto-battler-style combat, offering quick, engaging gameplay and deep strategic potential.

You’ll explore maps, uncover resources, fortify cities, and draft powerful cards to prepare for inevitable demon invasions.

Once your turns are up, the demons attack, and the defenses you’ve built are put to the test.

Your goal is to defeat all the demons while keeping at least one city standing.

Flocking Hell is due to be released in March 2025, but right now there is a demo available on Steam.
