Game #1 - Intravenous

IF YOU LOVE SPLINTER CELL, THEN YOU’LL LOVE THIS!

GENRE: STEALTH, TACTICAL, DIFFICULT, ASSASSIN, TOP-DOWN

If you’re a fan of Splinter Cell and stealth games in general then Intravenous is a must play.

Don’t be put off by the 2D top down perspective or the graphics, the game’s mechanics are well thought out and designed.

Intravenous is a brutal stealth-action game that lets you choose between careful, methodical infiltration or intense, guns-blazing combat.

You play as Steve Robbins, a man on a relentless quest for revenge, you can sneak through shadows, disable lights, and silently eliminate enemies—or charge in and fight your way out.

Enemies are smart and reactive, investigating noises, following blood trails, and coordinating tactics to take you down.

The stealth mechanics are deep, with light and sound playing crucial roles, and the combat is punishing yet satisfying.

The game offers a range of weapons, armor, and gadgets that drastically impact your playstyle.

While the story is a straightforward revenge tale, it suits the game’s high-stakes intensity.

If you’re looking for a stealth game that truly challenges you, Intravenous is a must-play.

Game #2 - Pic Me

A BIT LIKE CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY

GENRE: FUNNY, TABLETOP, CO-OP, CASUAL, MEMES

I came across this game on Youtube. It looks like a really fun game to play with a group of friends.

It’s a bit like Cards Against Humanity.

It’s a creative deception-based card game where you need to try and outwit each other using clever hints and tricky mind games.

Each round, one player becomes the writer, giving a subtle hint about their meme card while everyone else tries to throw the group off by playing their own misleading meme cards.

The challenge is finding the perfect balance—too obvious, and you get no points; too vague, and no one picks your card.

The game supports 4-8 players. You can play with friends in private lobbies or jump into public games with built-in voice chat.

However, I’d recommend playing with friends for the best experience.

The game is a bit tricky to explain, but if you watch some videos on Youtube you will see how funny it can be.

Definitely worth playing in a group of friends.

Game #3 - Beyond Citadel

RETRO ANIME BOOMER SHOOTER!

GENRE: FPS, ANIME, BOOMER SHOOTER, 2.5D, RETRO

You already know I love a good boomer shooter haha.

Beyond Citadel is a fast-paced, anime-styled retro FPS that blends '90s shooter action with realistic gunplay.

Managing weapon malfunctions and reloads adds extra tension, while hand-crafted levels mix intense indoor skirmishes with sprawling outdoor battles.

It has satisfying combat, deep world-building, and has made massive improvements over it’s 2020 predecessor, The Citadel.

Including better visuals and more refined mechanics.

The translation is a bit rough, but the gripping story and stylish, chaotic world make it a must-play for fans of classic shooters.

A solid game to kick off 2025.

Game #4 - Crime Scene Cleaner

CLEAN UP THE MOB’S DIRTY WORK

GENRE: SIM, CRIME, THERAPEUTIC, MOB

A weirdly therapeutic game haha.

You play as a desperate father taking shady jobs with the mob to pay for your daughter’s hospital bills.

Armed with mops, power washers, and a few questionable moral choices, you’ll scrub away the evidence—blood, bodies and more. All while keeping a low profile.

The cleaning mechanics are so satisfying. They’ll hook you in right away.

It also has great dry humor and a decent story.

The mix of chill, methodical gameplay and gritty mob drama keeps you engaged throughout.

My only wish is that the game was a little longer.

If you think you’d be into a cleaning sims with a dark twist, then try this one!

Game #5 - Dead Letter Dept.

A UNIQUE DATA ENTRY HORROR

GENRE: HORROR, TYPING, MYSTERY, SIM

This game only released yesterday but I thought it was an interesting concept.

It also has good reviews so far.

You’ve landed a mundane data entry job in the big city, typing up lost mail that computers can’t read.

At first, it’s just another gig—transcribing random scraps of letters with nowhere else to go.

But as you settle into the routine, strange messages start slipping through. Some feel… personal. Some shouldn’t exist at all.

This eerie, atmospheric horror game lets you sift through countless letters, uncover buried secrets, and piece together a story that shifts with every playthrough.

With unsettling sound design and multiple endings, it’s a slow-burn descent into something deeply unsettling—one keystroke at a time.
