Game #1 - Keep Driving

A BRILLIANT RPG ABOUT DRIVING, FREEDOM AND YOUTH

GENRE: ADVENTURE, RPG, DRIVING, ATMOSPHERIC, PROCEDURAL, PIXEL ART

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC

You only need to watch the trailer to fall in love with this game!

Keep Driving is a chill management RPG about life on the road in the early 2000s.

You’ve just bought your first car, summer stretches out ahead of you, and there’s a music festival across the country.

How you get there - or if you get there at all - is totally up to you.

As you drive through a procedurally generated pixel-art world, you’ll pick up hitchhikers with their own stories, take on odd jobs, upgrade and repair your car, and deal with all the weird, unexpected stuff that happens on the road.

Instead of combat, challenges are solved through a turn-based system, where you’ll use your skills and whatever’s in your glovebox to make it through.

With multiple endings, an AMAZING soundtrack, and a mix of highways, dirt roads, and small-town stops, every playthrough is a different road trip.

Take it easy, explore at your own pace, and enjoy the ride—you’re young, and you’ve got time.

This game is so immersive and it truly made me think about life in general. It’s filled with nostalgia, hope, adventure and humanity.

I highly recommend playing Keep Driving!

Game #2 - SWORN

RECLAIM CAMELOT FROM A CORRUPTED KING ARTHUR

GENRE: CO-OP, ROGUELITE, ACTION, EARLY ACCESS

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK, PS5, SWITCH, XBOX SERIES X, XBOX SERIES S

SWORN is a co-op action roguelike where you and up to three friends take on a fallen Camelot, now ruled by a corrupted King Arthur and his twisted knights.

You’ll battle legendary foes, harness powerful blessings, and uncover the dark secrets of Avalon.

As a Soulforged knight, you’ll swear faithfulness to Fae Lords and choose from over 200 unique blessings to shape your playstyle.

There are tons of possible builds, so no two runs are the same.

Upgrade your squire, test your skills in battles, and fight your way through a stunning comic book-style world inspired by Mike Mignola’s art.

Stumpt - Youtuber

This week’s spotlight is for Youtuber Stumpt.

Stumpt makes awesome videos covering a huge range of indie games.

They are particularly good for discovering co-op games as they often play in a group of 4.

They have a recent video showcasing one of my recommended games SWORN.

Game #3 - Astronomics

EXPLORE SPACE AND MINE ASTROIDS

GENRE: MINING, AUTOMATION, SPACE, 3D, EARLY ACCESS

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC

Astronomics is all about space mining, automation, and survival.

You work for a shady megacorp, hopping between randomly generated asteroids to mine resources, fight off pirates, and upgrade your gear - all to save up for a ticket to Earth, a place you’ve never even been.

Set up automated mining ops with worker bots, take on contracts for different corporations, and expand your freighter as you explore deeper into the asteroid belt.

But watch out - pirates, shifting asteroid conditions, and corporate greed make every run a challenge.

Mine, upgrade, survive - because getting home won’t be cheap.

Astronomics is still in early access, but the game has solid core mechanics and the devs are very active.

It’s worth checking out!

Game #4 - Arctic Motel Simulator

MANAGE YOUR OWN ARCTIC MOTEL

GENRE: SIMULATION, LIFE SIM, IMMERSIVE SIM, BUILDING

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC

In Arctic Motel Simulator, you’ll take a run-down lodge and turn it into a thriving business, all while dealing with freezing winters, wild animals, and some pretty weird guests.

You’ll build rooms, open shops and restaurants, rent out RVs, and even go hunting.

The seasons will impact how you operate. You’ll control humidity in summer, manage heating in winter, and even build igloos.

Additionally, you’ll have to hire staff, handle random events like police inspections or cheating couples, and even help catch criminals!

It’s a good mix of motel management, survival, and adventure.
