For the next few weeks I’ll only be sending IGP out on a Friday!

I’m working on some new stuff for IGP so I need a couple of weeks to make progress.

I’ll then go back to editions on both Tuesdays and Fridays each week. 😃

Game #1 - Squirrel Stapler

SQUIRREL HUNTING INSANITY

GENRE: HORROR, HUNTING, DARK HUMOUR, NATURE, ACTION

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK, SWITCH

IGP may as well be a David Szymanski fan club at this point!

I finally got around to playing his horror cult classic ā€œSquirrel Staplerā€.

Overall, I would really recommend it if you are a horror fan!

In Squirrel Stapler, you play as a lonely and mentally disturbed man who seems to be losing all sense of reality.

You wake up to a deeply disturbing sight of something that your character did prior to you playing the game.

As a player, it will fill you with disgust, but your character doesn’t feel the same as they are losing their grip on reality.

The only other information you have is a blood written message on your cabin wall… ā€œIn 5 Days God is Comingā€.

You then head out to hunt squirrels in order to ā€œfix/restoreā€ the terrible act your character committed.

I don’t want to go to much into the details as it is best to experience it for yourself since the game is only 40-50 mins long.

The hunting gameplay is actually really fun and is completely ridiculous!

The game is a satirical take on low budget edutainment games that you would find in a bargain bin in the late 90s and early 2000s.

The game perfectly captures the eery and strange vibes those types of games had.

There is also a large dose of black humor and absurdism in the horror aspects of the game.

Ultimately the character is judged/visited by God as a result of his actions.

This makes for a really never-racking ending that is one of the best I’ve seen in a horror game.

Don’t look up the ending before playing as it is best to not know what is coming!

Let me know if you play it! :)

Game #2 - Dino Run DX

OLD BUT GOLD!

GENRE: DINOSAURS, RACING, ARCADE, PIXEL GRAPHICS

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, MAC, STEAM DECK

This version of Dino Run DX came out in 2015 but is still fun to play today!

Dino Run was originally a massively successful browser based game that was very popular!

They then turned it into a stand alone game available on Steam.

You play as a dinosaur who must try to escape extinction!

Your job is to run for your life whilst dodging meteorites and collecting eggs.

You can use eggs to upgrade your dinosaur’s abilities!

The game may too simple for some people to enjoy, but I personally enjoyed playing it this week!

I got it on sale for $1.99 which I think was well worth the price!

Game #3 - Tiny Tires

AN UPCOMING RACER!

GENRE: CASUAL, RACING, 3D, CARTOONY

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: COMING SOON

I can’t remember how I came across this game, but it immediately grabbed my attention.

In Tiny Tires, you race tiny toy cars around every day objects!

It's a throwback to classic arcade racers with multiple game modes to keep things fresh.

Race your friends (or the AI) to the finish line, test your endurance by staying on-screen, or challenge yourself in time trials to beat your best lap.

Free Play mode lets you just cruise around and pull off stunts. And with local multiplayer for up to four players, it’s the perfect game for couch racing chaos!

I’m excited to play this game once it comes out. The dev has been working hard, so it will be great to support them. :)

Game #4 - Everhood 2

A MUSICAL BATTLE FOR YOUR SOUL

GENRE: PSYCHEDELIC, MUSIC, STORY RICH, INDIE

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK, SWITCH

Everhood is a one-of-a-kind RPG where fights play out as wild, music-based battles.

You play as a wanderer who’s lost their voice, guided by a mysterious raven that promises to help—if you take down the mighty Mind Dragon.

With over 100 tracks to master, a surreal world to explore, and a bizarre cast of characters, Everhood is a rhythm-fueled adventure that’s as trippy as it is unforgettable.

Expect mind-bending visuals, an emotional journey, and plenty of surprises along the way.

This is one of the few music based games I have played and I enjoyed it!
