Game #1 - Last Train Outtaā Wormtown

ESCAPE FROM A GIANT SANDWORM - WITH FRIENDS!
GENRE: ACTION, 3D PLATFORMER, CO-OP, 3D, CARTOONY
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK
This game is hilarious to play with friends!
This is the type of game that Iām so thankful indie devs create. Niche, funny and memorable.
Last Train Outta' Wormtown is a chaotic, wild online multiplayer game where you play as a group of cowboys trying to escape a giant, cowboy-eating sandwormākind of like "the floor is lava," but with way more screaming.
If you touch the sand, the Worm can sense you, so youāll have to run, jump, climb, and use gadgets to stay alive and complete your escape.
There is also a mode where one player can play as the Worm and devour other players by burrowing through the map and unleashing special abilities.
The gameās got 16-player lobbies, tons of customization and challenges, and a super cool Friendās Pass system, so only one person needs to own the game for everyone to play together.
I highly recommend playing this if youāre into co-op fun!

Game #2 - Upstream

FIGHT YOUR WAY UPSTREAM AS A SALMON
GENRE: PRECISION PLATFORMER, PHYSICS, UNDERWATER, PUZZLE
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK
Upstream is a challenging, two-button physics platformer where you play as a tiny salmon on a huge journey back to its home.
Using just left and right controls, youāll swim, jump, and fight your way through rivers, forests, and all sorts of tricky Pacific Northwest environments.
Itās deceptively simple but pretty toughāfull of tight jumps, hidden secrets, and constant danger.
The game also tells a sweet, emotional story about the life cycle of a salmon, with a little encouragement thrown in when you inevitably flop around and mess up.
The game will definitely test your patience, but I really liked the concept and want to promote projects created by smaller devs.

GOOD OR BAD OPINION?
READER OPINION: "Skill based match making is an essential evolution for multiplayer games...""It helps nurture an environment for new players to grow and improve their skills without getting discouraged." |
Game #3 - Fear The Spotlight

SURVIVE A SĆANCE GONE WRONG
GENRE: ADVENTURE, SURVIVAL HORROR, ATMOSPHERIC, PUZZLE
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, MAC, LINUX, STEAM DECK, NINTENDO SWITCH, PS4, PS5, XBOX ONE
Fear the Spotlight is a creepy, story-driven horror game where you and your rebellious friend Amy sneak into school after hours for a sĆ©anceāand it goes horribly wrong.
Now youāre stuck in a twisted, nightmarish version of Sunnyside High, trying to avoid a lurking monster, solve puzzles, and uncover a decades-old tragedy.
You play as Vivian, sneaking through dark hallways, dodging the monsterās spotlight, and using classic tools like a flashlight and screwdriver to survive.
The game is a love letter to 90s horror, with a retro vibe, eerie atmosphere, and a good amount of old-school puzzles.
If youāre into chilling mysteries, stealthy tension, and nostalgic horror vibes, this one will absolutely pull you in.

Game #4 - CloverPit

BUCKSHOT ROULETTE + LUCK BE A LANDLORD!
GENRE: ROGUELITE, ROGUELIKE, STRATEGY, 3D, GAMBLING, DEMO
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC
This game has been getting a great amount of attention online!
I think it will be pretty successful once the full game is released. You can go play the demo right now.
CloverPit is a rogue-lite horror game where youāre trapped in a rusty cell with a cursed slot machine and a massive debt hanging over your head.
Youāve gotta spin, cheat, and combo your way to enough coins each roundāor else itās game over, literally.
Youāll collect charms, prizes, and wild power-ups that let you bend and break the slot machine rules to create insane lucky runs.
Thereās tons of meta progression, multiple endings, an endless mode if you want to push your luck even further, and a creepy atmosphere that makes every spin feel like a desperate gamble for survival.

Game #5 - Samlyās Merge

CHILL AND MERGE DICE
GENRE: CASUAL, ARCADE, PUZZLE, 2D, CUTE, RELAXING
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, MAC
I came across this solo developerās game purely by chance!
I believe this is their first game and I wanted to give it a go.
They have a really solid idea for an addictive puzzle game that can be easily learned and can be replayed again and again.
I do think the game could benefit with some more features, but for the price tag, it is well worth it to support the dev and play a great puzzle game.
You start with a grid and have to place tokens. You must combine three matching tokens to level them up and create more room on the grid for you to place more tokens.
The aim is to reach a high score based on merging your tokens.
There's no time pressure, no rush.
Overall a solid indie game worth supporting.
