Game #1 - Labyrinth Of The Demon King

A BRUTAL FEUDAL JAPAN DUNGEON CRAWLER!

GENRE: DUNGEON CRAWLER, SURVIVAL HORROR, FIRST PERSON

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC

I’ve watched this game progress for months on Twitter and I’m so happy that it is finally released!

Talk about atmosphere and suspense! I love the style so much. It really captures the Silent Hill vibe and immerses you with visuals alone. (Please watch the trailer!)

Labyrinth of the Demon King is a gritty, first-person dungeon crawler set in a mythic, demon-infested version of feudal Japan.

You play as a lone foot soldier who barely survived an ambush after a demon king betrayed your lord—and now you’re diving headfirst into a cursed labyrinth to get revenge.

Armed with swords, spears, muskets, and whatever scraps you can find, you’ll face off against creepy yokai, twisted monsters, and brutal traps while solving puzzles and scraping together the resources to survive.

The combat is tough and satisfying, and exploring the grim maze is all about making smart choices, finding gear, and deciding who you can actually trust.

If you’re into old-school dungeon crawlers with a dark mythological twist, this one’s for you.

Just don’t expect an easy ride—this is a fight for vengeance, and it’s gonna hurt!

There is a demo available for anyone who wants to try it out first. :)

Game #2 - Disc Room

DODGE DISCS OF DEATH

GENRE: ACTION, DIFFICULT, VIOLENT, ADVENTURE, 2D

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, MAC, LINUX, STEAM DECK, SWITCH, XBOX ONE, AMAZON LUNA

Disc Room throws you into a giant spinning death trap in space. It’s 2089, and some massive killer disc has popped up near Jupiter, so naturally, you suit up as a scientist and go check it out… only to find yourself dodging a ridiculous amount of buzzsaws in every shape and size imaginable.

Each room is basically a new way to die, and you will die—a lot. But that’s part of the fun.

Every death teaches you something, unlocks new powers, and helps you survive just a bit longer next time.

The game is all about tight movement, crazy bullet-hell energy (but with discs), and figuring out weird little puzzles while trying not to get shredded.

It’s fast, chaotic, super stylish, and kind of addictive in that "just one more run" way.

An underrated game in my opinion!

Game #3 - Shadows Over Loathing

COMEDY MEETS COSMIC HORROR

GENRE: ADVENTURE, RPG, POINT & CLICK, PUZZLE, 2D

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, MAC, STEAM DECK

Shadows Over Loathing is a weird, hilarious, and deeply charming stick-figure RPG where mobsters and eldritch horrors share the stage with talking frogs, cursed antiques, and way too many dad jokes.

You play a totally customizable character who rolls into Ocean City to help out your missing Uncle Murray—and end up unraveling a shadowy, tentacle-filled mystery that could destroy the world.

Set in the prohibition-era Loathing universe (from West of Loathing), the game throws you into a black-and-white world packed with absurd side quests, puzzles, and ridiculous enemies.

You can play as a cheese wizard, a football brawler called a Pig Skinner, or a Jazz Agent who weaponizes coolness.

The turn-based combat is optional, the jokes are constant, and the game is full of cursed objects, non-Euclidean weirdness, and unforgettable nonsense.

If you want to be immersed in a new universe this weekend, then this is a great pick!

Game #4 - Island Doodle II

RELAXING CASTLE BUILDER!

GENRE: BUILDING, RELAXING, SANDBOX

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC

This is a brilliant little project that I found on BlueSky from Matt Stark (one of the creators of Viewfinder).

Matt has built a few different little projects like this on his Itch page (https://mattstark.itch.io/) and they are all wonderful.

You can play them in browser and just enjoy building your own medieval world without any pressures.

These are just tiny projects at the moment, but I’m hoping they lead to bigger projects that might turn into something like Tiny Glade or Summer House.

He posted some screenshots on BlueSky and they blew up, so I’m hoping that leads to a more extensive game.

Anyways, try it out and hopefully you can follow him to see his work progress.

P.S. If you haven’t played Viewfinder then you are REALLY missing out!

GOOD OR BAD OPINION?

OPINION: "Fortnite is the worst thing to happen to gaming. It made micro transactions acceptable and also ruined a lot of other (previously good) major franchises because of its success."

Game #5 - Level Devil

THE MOST POLITE RAGE GAME EVER

GENRE: 2D PLATFORMER, FUNNY, MINIMALIST, RETRO, ACTION

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK

Level Devil is a ā€œtotally fairā€ 2D platformer that definitely won’t mess with your head—or your keyboard.

It’s got nearly 200 levels full of lovable spikes, ā€œniceā€ buzzsaws, and surprises that you won’t see coming.

Just when you think you’ve figured out a level, it pulls the rug out from under you—literally.

If you’ve ever played the rage version of Super Mario, then you’ll know exactly what to expect.

It’s funny, evil, and somehow very addictive. You’ll rage, laugh, rage some more, and then rope a friend into local 2-player mode just to watch them suffer too.

Warning - this isn’t for the faint-hearted!

But if you do enjoy a true challenge of patience, memory and skill, then I think you’ll like it.
