Game #1 - Bopl Battle

ONE FOR THE SMASH BROS FANS!
GENRE: MULTIPLAYER, 2D FIGHTER, 4 PLAYER LOCAL, ACTION
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK
I only recently discovered this game and I’m so glad I did.
Bopl Battle is a fast-paced, physics-driven brawler where 2–4 blob creatures blast each other off the map with ridiculous powers.
You can teleport, shoot black holes, or reverse gravity. Want to turn into a giant wheel and crush your friends? Then go ahead!
Play couch co-op or online as you fling, slam, and outwit your opponents across destructible arenas.
Each match is short, wild, and packed with laugh-out-loud moments. Perfect for parties or revenge matches with friends.
I highly recommend this to everyone who loves Smash Bros. This is the best indie version!

Game #2 - Nuclear Nightmare

THE THING, BUT LIKE LETHAL COMPANY.
GENRE: SURVIVAL HORROR, ONLINE CO-OP, HORROR, CO-OP
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK
Nuclear Nightmare is based on John Carpenter’s “The Thing”.
In the game, you're dropped into the frozen chaos of an Arctic wasteland where black goo turns anything (yes, even your husky) into a nightmare.
You and your team are here for one reason—grab the classified data and escape before the U.S. nukes the entire region.
Scavenge supplies, test for infection, and fend off goo-mutated horrors with flamethrowers, shotguns, and whatever else you can find.
Ride snowmobiles, fly helicopters, pet huskies, and unlock perks from soda machines like you're in an Arctic-themed fever dream.
It’s co-op survival with real stakes, real panic, and a real ticking clock.
The nukes are coming - get in, grab the files, and get out.

Game #3 - Tower Wizard

BUILD THE MOST POWERFUL WIZARD TOWER
GENRE: STRATEGY, CLICKER, FANTASY, RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK
In Tower Wizard, you're a magic-loving recluse with one goal: build the most powerful wizard tower the world’s ever seen.
It’s an upgrade-heavy, incremental game where you summon spirits to do your dirty work, gather magical resources, and build increasingly elaborate rooms and magical tech.
You’ll study spells, unlock upgrades, automate everything, and eventually prestige to do it all faster (because of course you will).
It's part tower builder, part magical science experiment - with that satisfying feeling of watching the numbers go up.
If you love incremental games, then Tower Wizard will be your new happy place.

Game #4 - Micro Platformer

FREE AND ADDICTIVE?
GENRE: PRECISION PLATFORMER, DIFFICULT, MINIMALIST, INDIE
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK
Micro Platformer strips platforming down to its bare bones—literally.
You’re a tiny square hopping across a grid made of 1x1 blocks. No enemies, no explosions, no lasers—just pure precision-jumping.
It starts simple, but don’t let the minimalist look fool you. The difficulty ramps up fast, and with best-time tracking and a respawn counter, it's got enough challenge to hook speedrunners and masochists alike.
The full game is 100% free to play and I highly recommend you do.
It reminds me of “The World’s Hardest Game”. Deceptively simple and highly addictive!
If you love clean design, brutal jumps, and watching your respawn count hit the triple digits, this one is for you.

GOOD OR BAD OPINION?
OPINION: "The Switch 2 isn't a good enough upgrade. It may be more powerful, but it needed more to be the obvious choice over the Steam Deck." |
Game #5 - Cloud Gardens

POST-APOCALYPTIC GARDENING? (IT MIGHT BE WORTH LEARNING)
GENRE: NATURE, SANDBOX, ATMOSPHERIC, RELAXING, INDIE
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, MAC, STEAM DECK
This game is from the same solo dev that made the hit “Kingdom: Newlands”. An awesome dev that puts so much care and attention into their work.
In Cloud Gardens, the world may be crumbling, but your job is to make it beautiful again - one overgrown diorama at a time.
You drop seeds onto rusted cars, crumbling highways, and abandoned playgrounds, then watch as nature slowly takes back the wasteland. It’s part sandbox, part puzzle, part zen garden.
You’ll place objects to encourage plant growth, then cover those objects in foliage to move forward. Alternatively, you can just kick back in creative mode and build your own little post-human paradise.
With no time limits and a brilliantly relaxing ambient soundtrack, Cloud Gardens is perfect for when you want something low-stress, oddly satisfying, and just a little bit poetic.
