SUMMARY
Welcome back to Indie Game Preachers! 🕹️
🎤 A friend of mine who runs the official r/indiegames reddit and Indiegames discord has launched their own Youtube channel that features amazing interviews with some of the best indie devs around. It would help them a lot if you could check it out their channel ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/@indie_den
🎥 This week I watched “The Making of Animal Well” on Youtube. I highly recommend watching it. It tells the story of how Animal Well was made. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tffo3U4owwE)
🎯 Thanks for playing Guess The Indie Game! So far the response has been great! This week another 7 games were added. If you have a Youtube or Twitch channel and are interested in streaming the game let me know! Looking for any help I can get in sharing the game. ❌ The “Stop Killing Games” EU petition has attracted the attention of lobbyist groups who are pushing back against the initiative. I’m sure there will be a lot of back and forth over the next few months. The initiative is almost at 1.4m signature goal. You can help support the petition here: https://www.stopkillinggames.com/
GUESS THE INDIE GAME (new)
Want to put your indie game knowledge to the test? Well, I’ve made a new daily browser game that shows you 6 screenshots from an indie game and it is your job to guess which indie game it is.
The aim is to test your indie game knowledge but also help you discover new indie games that you might not know about.
There will be a new indie game to guess on each day of the week, similar to Wordle, Globle, Framed etc.
Guess today’s indie game here ➡️ Guess The Indie Game
P.S. Any sharing on social media or discord would be really appreciated! ❤️

Game #1 - Until Then

LOST MEMORIES, FATEFUL MEETINGS
GENRE: VISUAL NOVEL, PIXEL GRAPHICS, EMOTIONAL, DRAMA
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, LINUX, STEAM DECK, PS5
This is a game I’ve received many recommendations for and it deserves it!
Until Then is a story-driven mystery where your everyday life slowly unravels into something far more unsettling.
You play as Mark, a student just trying to get through school and hang out with friends - until strange disappearances and warped memories start messing with everything.
As reality begins to bend, you’ll text friends, attend classes, play piano and slowly piece together a hidden truth before time runs out.
It's a slice-of-life adventure that takes a turn into something deeper, darker, and incredibly human.
An insanely well crafted world - definitely a great choice for those who love story.

Game #2 - Chessformer

CHESS MEETS PLATFORMING CHAOS
GENRE: CHESS, PUZZLE, DIFFICULT, BOARD GAME, STRATEGY
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC
Chessformer is a simple but rewarding game that combines classic chess movement with clever platforming puzzles.
Each piece moves like it would in a real game of chess - but once it moves, it drops straight down and can’t move again until it lands.
You’ll need to stack pieces, plan every fall and think several moves ahead to capture the one lazy king who never lifts a finger.
I really like this combination that uses some simple rules and creates a great 1-2 hour experience.

Game #3 - BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER 3…

YOU OPENED A PORTAL TO HELL IN RIO. NOW FIX IT.
GENRE: BOOMER SHOOTER, FPS, SINGLEPLAYER, PvE, 3D
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK
Brazilian Drug Dealer 3 is a gloriously unhinged boomer shooter built in the Quake engine and packed with Brazilian culture, chaos and golden guns.
You play as a die-hard fan of funk legend Mit Aia who accidentally opens a hell portal in the favela while trying to revive him. Oopsies.
Now the streets (and all of Rio) are crawling with possessed demons, zombie clowns, and cursed singers - and only you can blast your way through 24 levels of madness to save Brazil (and possibly heaven too).
Expect high-speed movement, absurd weapons, local snacks for healing and a soundtrack that slaps.
It really is as crazy as it sounds, but it knows how to be crazy and fun.
If you like unhinged indie games that look terrible but are actually brilliant, then play this lol.

Game #4 - Below The Ocean

DIVE FOR TREASURE BELOW THE OCEAN
GENRE: PRECISION PLATFORMER, PIXEL GRAPHICS, SIDE SCROLLER
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK
Below the Ocean is a stylish underwater platformer where your oxygen tether isn't just life support - it’s your main way to swing, slingshot and bounce through beautifully crafted levels.
You’ll explore the deep in search of legendary treasures, solve clever challenges and master your movement across four vibrant chapters.
A great and pretty much unknown game!

Game #5 - If Letters Had Pants

A SUPER FUN WORD FINDING ROGUELITE
GENRE: WORD GAME, ROGUELITE, PUZZLE
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC
I love daily word games like Wordle or SpellingBee, so any word game that has roguelike elements is perfect for me.
In If Letters Had Pants, you’re not just making words - you’re building a museum, one absurd pair of letter pants at a time.
Drag your mouse to find words in a shifting grid of letters. The more space your word spans, the higher your score.
Clear levels, earn wacky power-up pants for specific letters and dig through the dirt to uncover lost relics.
Sell your finds, upgrade your museum and unlock strange new gameplay twists.
It’s part word game, part roguelike and part archaeological fashion show.
It comes from the same dev team that made the indie gem Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate.
