Game #1 - CHAIRS

ONLY 135 REVIEWS BUT IT DESERVES WAY MORE…

GENRE: 3D PLATFORMER, COLLECTATHON, RACING, PLATFORMER

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK

I’ve absolutely loved playing this game! PLEASE check this one out. (It really is THAT good and underrated.)

CHAIRS is a brilliant, fast-paced, movement platformer, collectathon, arcade game that is as insane as it looks.

The art style is hilarious and mind bending but also perfectly crafted. (Avoid if you are photosensitive).

The game’s main attraction is it’s gameplay. You control a literal chair stuck in some kind of other dimension and your task is to collect as many pyramid shaped objects as you can scattered around each level.

The aim is to collect these pyramids in the shortest period of time.

What makes this so insanely fun is the movement mechanics.

Think of the fast-paced and super responsive movement mechanics of ULTRAKILL.

CHAIRS has this same addictive movement which allows you to FLY around levels collecting items at super sonic speeds whilst getting the satisfaction of beating your previous times.

It is really hard to describe CHAIRS unless you play the game, so I really recommend trying it out as it is only $5 and is worth every penny.

The movement can be difficult to grasp at first, but once you warm up it is so fun to zoom around levels.

TRUST ME!

Game #2 - Super Hexagon

*INSANELY ADDICTIVE* HYPER‑SPEED HEXAGONAL CHAOS

GENRE: DIFFICULT, GREAT SOUNDTRACK, FAST-PACED, ARCADE, ADDICTIVE, RHYTHM

AVAILABLE ON: PC, MAC, LINUX, IOS, ANDROID, BLACKBERRY 10, STEAM DECK

I spent a ridiculous amount of time beating this game this week. (and I loved every minute!)

Super Hexagon is a deceivingly simple arcade game that will have you hooked after just one run…

There are only 2 controls: left and right.

Your job is to dodge every barrier as it comes towards you.

It sounds simple, but it took me a stupid amount of tries to beat this game on hard more and on harder mode. I’ve yet to beat hardest mode.

I might just be terrible at the game, but if you love a gaming challenge then try this!

It’s only $3 and has a great rhythm based sound track that helps you to lock in.

Game #3 - TUNIC

AN ALL TIME INDIE CLASSIC

GENRE: EXPLORATION, PUZZLE, SOULS‑LIKE, ACTION‑ADVENTURE, ISOMETRIC, RPG

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, MAC, XBOX (One & Series X/S), NINTENDO SWITCH, PS4, PS5, STEAM DECK

Most of you probably already know the game TUNIC, but I thought I’d include it today just in case you’ve never heard of it or have never got around to playing it.

TUNIC is often mentioned amongst the greatest indie games ever made - and rightfully so.

In TUNIC, you play as an adorable little fox dropped into a mysterious ruined land packed with colossal monsters, hidden treasures and a puzzle-box of a world begging to be explored.

Think isometric Zelda meets Souls - with parries, dodges, magic bombs and epic boss fights that demand timing and courage.

As you wander forests, ruins and sky-palaces, you piece together an in-game manual - filled with clues, illustrations and secret maps - to discover how things work and where to go next.

Collect treasures, rebuild your guidebook, uncover secret relics and unravel multiple endings in a world that rewards curiosity and experimentation.

TUNIC deserves a space on your indie bucket list.

Game #4 - Cyclopean: The Great Abyss

DIVE INTO A NIGHTMARE UNDERWORLD

GENRE: TURN‑BASED COMBAT, DUNGEON CRAWLER, RPG, LOVECRAFTIAN, DARK FANTASY

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC

I discovered this game on my TikTok feed and it looked really cool!

In Cyclopean: The Great Abyss you play as a dazed old British dreamer who’s somehow landed deep in H.P. Lovecraft’s Dreamlands - specifically, the dark, sprawling underworld known as the Great Abyss. Your goal? Make it back to the surface… or wake up, if you're lucky.

This retro, monochrome RPG blends old-school CRPG mechanics with roguelike tension.

You’ll explore winding dungeons in first-person, then step back for top-down map exploration between the abyssal ruins.

Combat is turn-based (yes, the monsters wait their turn politely), but you don’t have to fight - talk your way through encounters, sneak past danger or even befriend weird underworld denizens using ancient books and alliances.

Each run starts with a randomly rolled dreamer with their own quirks and gear, so no two trips through the abyss are exactly the same.

Choose between a classic RPG mode or a no-mercy roguelike mode with permadeath, and try not to lose your sanity as you hoard supplies, manage your health and uncover cryptic lore written in dusty, in-game manuals.

Game #5 - Parcel Simulator

A PARCEL SIMULATOR BUT YOU CAN BUILD YOUR OWN AUTOMATIONS

GENRE: SIMULATION, AUTOMATION, FIRST-PERSON, IMMERSIVE SIM, CASUAL

AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK

Parcel Simulator turns you into the overlord of your very own shipping empire, starting with a tiny inspection table and scaling up to a fully automated warehouse beast.

Your job? Sort, inspect, scan, approve, and deny packages based on ever-evolving rules.

As things ramp up, you can automate everything with conveyor belts, scanners, and storage systems that would make any logistics nerd weep with joy. This is what sets it apart from other simulator games.

You’ll then scale your empire - expanding your warehouse, unlocking new bays, upgrading your gear and earning cold hard cash for every properly processed parcel.

A well thought-out simulator game!
