Game #1 - Downwell

YOU GET GUNBOOTS!
GENRE: ACTION, INDIE, PLATFORMER, ROGUELIKE
AVAILABLE ON: PC, MAC, LINUX, NINTENDO SWITCH, PS4, IOS, ANDROID
This game came out a while ago now, but I had an absolute blast playing it this week.
Downwell is a fast-paced vertical action roguelike where you dive - literally - into danger, upgrades and chaos. Armed with only your Gunboots (boots that shoot bullets) you plummet down a procedurally generated well packed with monsters, traps and red gems.
You can stamp, shoot or dodge monster as you descend towards the finish line.
Each level ramps up the difficultly and introduces even more challenges that put you in danger.
The difficultly level is actually pretty high and it can take a while to get a decent run if you aren’t used to the vertical gameplay.
But it really is highly addictive and incredibly satisfying when you perfectly stomp on a string of enemies and then blast through concrete blocks with your gunboots.
You can use the red gems you collected to select an upgrade at the end of each level that will enhance your abilities. E.g. Stomping on an enemies releases an explosion or breaking blocks damaged surrounding enemies.
For only $3 this is a must have in your library. I highly recommend playing this. Especially if you like games that make you say “just one more try” after every run.

Game #2 - The Drifter

A MUST FOR STORY RICH GAME LOVERS
GENRE: STORY RICH, POINT & CLICK, PIXEL GRAPHICS, INVESTIGATION, THRILLER, MYSTERY
AVAILABLE ON: PC, MAC, LINUX, STEAM DECK
You play Mick Carter, a drifter who witnesses a brutal murder and awakens moments before his own death.
Now framed and pursued, Mick must navigate neon-soaked train stations, grimy back alleys and corrupt corporations to uncover a conspiracy.
It is a point and click adventure with puzzle solving and detective work elements that make the experience so gritty and immersive to play.
The art direction, voice acting and most importantly the story really make for a fantastic journey that I recommend experiencing this weekend.

Game #3 - Monument Valley 3

VOYAGE THROUGH THE VALLEY
GENRE: ADVENTURE, PUZZLE, CASUAL, INDIE, STRATEGY
AVAILABLE PLATFORMS: PC, STEAM DECK, NINTENDO SWITCH, PLAYSTATION 4, PLAYSTATION 5, XBOX ONE, XBOX SERIES X/S
Monument Valley 3 is a beautiful, mind‑bending puzzle voyage, where you play as Noor, a curious apprentice on a quest to restore the Sacred Light.
You’ll twist gravity, rotate surreal architecture and sail rising tides in a vibrant world full of optical illusions.
With each puzzle you reshape impossible structures and chart new paths, exploring temples, ruins and shifting seas.
If you like Journey or FEZ then this is a great choice for you. It has the same beautiful world building and perspective bending puzzle design.

Game #4 - Gorogoa

A HAND-DRAWN PUZZLE MASTERPIECE
GENRE: PUZZLE, HAND‑DRAWN, INDIE, BEAUTIFUL, ATMOSPHERIC, SINGLEPLAYER, CASUAL, ADVENTURE
AVAILABLE ON: PC, STEAM DECK, MAC, IOS, NINTENDO SWITCH, PLAYSTATION 4, XBOX ONE, ANDROID
In Gorogoa, you’re diving into a surreal, beautifully illustrated puzzle world where every panel you move, zoom or stack might unlock a new chapter of an unfolding story.
You’re guiding a character through a series of dream-like scenes - war, rebuilding, reflection - all told without dialogue, just stunning layered images.
It’s a poetic, visual journey that feels like solving living art.
Your goal isn’t to win a game - it’s to experience the magic in merging images, discovering hidden connections and piecing together an emotional narrative through elegant mechanics.
The game’s charm lies in its minimalist design and how powerful its pacing feels, offering both challenge and peaceful exploration in equal measure.
Another absolute delight!

Game #5 - 3DSen PC

PLAY NES GAMES IN FULL 3D!
GENRE: EMULATOR, PLATFORMER, RETRO, ACTION
AVAILABLE ON: PC, MAC, LINUX
This one is for my NES fans!
3dSen PC is like plugging your childhood into a voxel-powered time machine. It transforms classic 8‑bit NES cartridges into fully playable 3D dioramas and hand‑crafted voxel worlds you can actually walk through!
Pop in your own ROMs and dive into games like Super Mario Bros., Mega Man, Zelda or wild homebrew titles in a completely different dimension.
You’ll be exploring retro levels as floating 3D environments, with dynamic lighting, animated skies, free camera rotation and even rewind, rollback and fast‑forward.
Want to snap a model of your favorite scene? You can export it as a 3D file or even drag custom cover art into your library.
Play on Windows, macOS and Linux with controller support! Enjoy. ;)
