Game #1 - Cheese Rolling

PROBABLY GAME OF THE YEAR
GENRE: ACTION, MULTIPLAYER, CASUAL, PvP, FUNNY
AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MACOS
PLAY THIS GAME. It’s free and hilarious!
There isn’t much to explain. You, your friends and randoms chase a cheese rolling down a hill. (Inspired by the annual English tradition at Cooper’s Hill)
It’s complete chaos but endless laughter.
The ragdoll physics and proximity chat are chef’s kiss 👌
To make it even better, the first player to win 10 times earns a crown and becomes the Cheese King of the lobby.
I can’t recommend this enough! Even if you only play for 30 minutes it’s worth downloading.
I’ll be playing again this week if anyone wants to join my lobby and compete for the crown.
“NessieGaming” is my Steam account.
P.s. I’m open to playing any indie games if you want someone to play with. Just add me and send me a message. I spend a lot of time playing indie games for research!

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MAC, LINUX, STEAM DECK, SWITCH, SWITCH 2, PS4, PS5, XBOX ONE, XBOX SERIES S, XBOX SERIES X
In case you didn’t know, Hollow Knight’s sequel “Silksong” has finally released after 7 years of development!
It was Steam’s most wishlisted game with over 4.8 million wishlists.
So far the reviews suggest the game lives up to the original and was well worth the wait!
I’ve still to play it, but I will hopefully get some time to play in the next few days!

Game #3 - Mortal Sin

SKILL IS POWER, OVERCONFIDENCE IS DEATH
GENRE: FIRST PERSON, DUNGEON CRAWLER, ACTION ROGUELIKE
AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK
Mortal Sin is a chaotic, blood-soaked roguelike that thrives on fast, brutal melee combat.
Every swing, kick and slash matters, and when you chain them into devastating combos, enemies don’t just die - they explode into a mess of limbs and gore.
Speed and momentum are your lifeline here: move fast, hit harder and don’t let your enemies catch their breath.
Each run throws you into procedurally generated nightmares filled with randomized quests, secret rooms and hand-crafted encounters.
You’ll unlock a growing roster of wild classes - whether you want to crush foes as a hulking Berserker, claw through them as a feral beast or blast away as a gun-toting Pirate.
Add in rare loot, platforming challenges and customizable comic-book-inspired visuals and you’ve got a roguelike that’s as stylish as it is merciless.
Really well done to the dev who has worked endlessly on this making it better with each update.

Game #4 - Linelith

FROM SIMPLE LINES TO SURPRISING SECRETS
GENRE: CASUAL, PUZZLE, STRATEGY, RELAXING, EXPLORATION
AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MAC, LINUX, STEAM DECK
Linelith is a short and soothing puzzle game where you trace glowing lines across rocks and crystals on a peaceful alien asteroid.
At first, the rules seem simple - connect the symbols, follow the shapes - but soon, the game introduces clever twists that force you to think differently about how each puzzle works.
With over 70 puzzles, a gentle difficulty curve, and the freedom to skip and return whenever you want, it’s designed to be a relaxing but satisfying brain-teaser.
The serene soundtrack and colorful atmosphere make it as much about the vibe as it is about the challenge.
This is a really underrated puzzle game. Highly recommended.

Game #5 - Your Average Bear

STEAL CAMPER SNACKS WITH STEALTH AS A BEAR
GENRE: COMEDY, ACTION, STEALTH, INDIE, FUNNY, CUTE
AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK
In Your Average Bear, you play as a helpful-looking black bear who’s actually running the forest’s most underground food delivery service - stealing snacks from unsuspecting campers and delivering them to your animal friends via a cheeky app.
It’s a stealth game with a comedic twist: dodge rangers, use quirky bear abilities, and sneak past campfires to make your deliveries without getting caught.
The low-poly art style gives it a playful vibe, but the sneaking is surprisingly tense and hilarious.
The game is also free and another good game to play if you want something light-hearted this weekend.
