Indie Game Preachers - Edition #154

🕹️ 90s Old School Racing Game! Best Co-op Game Ever? Cozy Game About Restoring A Village One Hearth at a Time. An Unhinged Idler About Geese!

SUMMARY

Welcome back to Indie Game Preachers! 🕹️

❤️ I hope you’ve all had a great week and got some good gaming deals!

🎄 I’ve been getting into the Christmas spirit early this year! I started off strong with one of my all time favourite movies “It’s a Wonderful Life”. I also put my Christmas tree up on Dec 1st to make the holidays last longer this year.

🎉 I also just want to say thank you for reading IGP and supporting the newsletter. IGP is now officially 1 year old and I’ve loved every second of the journey so far. Without you I wouldn’t be able to do it - so thank you very much!

My new indie game… (Please wishlist it 🥺)

I’ve been working on my own indie game called “Drive You Crazy Golf”!

The idea is simple… can you beat 100 hole-in-1s?

It’s a brutal mini golf challenge for 1 to 4 players.

I was inspired by the Vanoss Crew’s “hole in one challenge” videos from a few years ago. I thought the idea would make for a good game.

This is my first ever indie game so I wanted to keep the game small and not too complex!

I’ve also added a new Punishment Mode: if you miss your hole-in-1 then you go back to the previous hole.

If it interests you, then it would mean the world to me if you could wishlist it!

Thank you!!!!

Game #1 - Old School Rally

NOSTALGIC RETRO RALLY RACER!

GENRE: RACING, ARCADE, DRIVING, OLD SCHOOL, RETRO

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK (VERIFIED)

Old School Rally is a love letter to late-’90s rally games - the chunky polygons, the gritty colour palettes, the drifting on dirt roads at impossible speeds.

It mixes pure arcade rally racing with modern smoothness, giving you fast-paced time trials, satisfying slides and a lineup of cars inspired by classic rally legends.

You’ll race across dirt, snow, tarmac and global locations, chasing leaderboard times and squeezing every millisecond out of your runs.

Built by a solo dev who just wants that era of arcade rally to return, the game delivers nostalgia with enough modern polish to hook both old-school fans and newcomers.

Highly recommended for any old school racing fans!

Game #2 - Tingus Goose

AN UNHINGED IDLE GAME!

GENRE: PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR, STRATEGY, CLICKER, MANAGEMENT, IDLER

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MAC, STEAM DECK

Tingus Goose is pure, chaotic, surreal nonsense - in the best way possible.

It’s an idle/strategy game where you literally plant seeds inside hollow-torso patients, grow giant goose-trees and watch newborn goose-babies fall, bounce, and explode into money.

You optimize your bouncing contraptions like some unhinged Rube Goldberg machine, stacking Blossoms and Specimens to create wild synergies.

Every run is weird, unsettling and very addictive, packed with absurd characters, bizarre story chapters and goose-powered evolution.

No microtransactions, just delightful madness as you chase the dream of growing a goose tall enough to kiss its lover.

Game #3 - Incredicer

ROLL. UPGRADE. PROFIT.

GENRE: CLICKER, CASUAL, IDLER, INDIE, STRATEGY

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK

Incredicer is a compact, fast-progressing incremental dice game where everything revolves around rolling, upgrading and automating.

You start by manually rolling dice to earn cash, then slowly build a machine of helper hands, active skills and dark-matter upgrades that turn your little pile of dice into a full automation engine.

It’s simple, satisfying and built around the classic idle-game loop — roll → earn → upgrade → optimize → repeat - with a surprisingly deep skill tree that keeps progress accelerating.

Perfect for fans of clickers and incremental systems who want a quick burst of progression dopamine.

Game #4 - SharpShooter3D

A SUB-CULTURE BOOMER SHOOTER

GENRE: FPS, BOOMER SHOOTER, FIRST-PERSON, ACTION, SHOOTER

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK

SharpShooter3D is a wild, grimy, hyper-violent old-school FPS that feels ripped straight out of a chaotic VHS nightmare.

It’s loud, fast, messy and drenched in underground subculture energy.

You blast through deranged drug addicts, corrupt officials and creatures tied to some ancient evil - all while the story spirals into madness where your best friend becomes your enemy and you might even be your own villain.

It’s unapologetically old school: shoot first, don't ask questions, blow everything up, and survive the insanity. Pure retro chaos.

Game #5 - Back to Hearth

RESTORE A VILLAGE ONE HEARTH AT A TIME

GENRE: ATMOSPHERIC, EXPLORATION, WALKING SIMULATOR, FIRST-PERSON, COZY

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MAC, STEAM DECK

Back to Hearth is a quiet, reflective and deeply atmospheric little game about bringing life back to an abandoned Ukrainian village after a mysterious Calamity.

You wander between empty homes, repairing what’s broken, sweeping floors, fixing stoves and rekindling each hearth so its family might one day return.

Every house tells a story through objects, memories and small personal details you uncover while cleaning.

It’s slow, meditative, warm and a little melancholic - a game about healing, community and the small rituals that make a place feel like home again.

You can pick fruit, chase chickens, admire the autumn scenery and gradually rebuild comfort in a place that has lost it.
