🕹️ The Original PEAK! - Which Indie Game Would You Replay? Amnesia Inspired VHS Survival Horror, A Skateboarding Gem, A New Voice-Based Co-op Game.

SUMMARY

Welcome back to Indie Game Preachers! 🕹️

❤️ Welcome back! I hope you’ve had another great week. :)

🎄 I’m feeling a little better after taking some time off. Hopefully I’ll feel less burnt out soon and will be able to resume a more consistent schedule! The holiday season is here and it has helped me relax a little. Make sure to take time to relax this weekend!

Game #1 - Dead Format

AN AMAZING GAME FROM A FRIEND OF MINE! (PLEASE HELP SUPPORT THEM <3)

GENRE: SURVIVAL HORROR, PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR, HORROR, SINGLEPLAYER, SURVIVAL

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS

Dead Format is the latest game from Katanalevy - the solo dev who made “Daemonologie”.

It’s a brilliant new VHS survival horror game set in 1990s Scotland. It reminds me a lot of games like Resident Evil, Amnesia: The Bunker and Still Wakes the Deep.

Your brother has gone missing after becoming obsessed with a new VHS format…

Your best bet of finding him is by travelling through these VHS tapes and following his trail.

Each VHS tape transports you to a new world inspired by a different era in film history. The Silent era, Giallo Cinema, 80s Body Horror etc.

I can personally vouch for the amount of time, effort and love Chris (Katanalevy) has put into this game.

From crafting some of the most beautiful environments I’ve ever seen in an indie game, to making and filming his own VHS tapes with real practical effects reminiscent of those from “The Thing.

This is a game made with love and passion for the craft. If you really want to help support an indie dev, then there is no one more deserving than Chris!

Please let me know if you play it!

Helping to support indie devs is the reason IGP exists, so it would be greatly appreciated if you showed him some love. Thank you! :)

*P.S. This is NOT sponsored, I just really loved the game. (None of the games on IGP are sponsored)

Game #2 - Skate Story

I LOVE THIS GAME AND SO WILL YOU!

GENRE: INDIE, ADVENTURE, ACTION, SPORTS, RPG

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MAC, STEAM DECK (VERIFIED)

Skate Story is a game I’ve been watching for a while! The demo was great and so is the final release.

Skate Story is a hypnotic, stylish skating adventure set entirely in the Underworld.

You play as a fragile demon made of glass and pain, given a single impossible deal by the Devil: skate to the Moon and swallow it to earn your freedom.

You’ll carve through ash-covered streets and surreal hellscapes, mastering weight, momentum and flow as skating becomes both combat and ritual.

You destroy demons with tricks, help lost souls and slowly evolve from a clumsy beginner into a confident, graceful skater.

It’s atmospheric, meditative and emotionally strange - a game about perseverance, humility and finding beauty in motion, all backed by an incredible psychedelic soundtrack.

Game #3 - Cursed Companions

A NEW VOICE-BASED CO-OP COMEDY

GENRE: FUNNY, COMEDY, CO-OP, EXPLORATION

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS

Cursed Companions is a chaotic co-op horror game where your own voice is the real enemy.

Every player is cursed with a forbidden word - say it out loud and you take damage… or kill your friends.

The game is always listening and reacting to everything you say: the right words can heal allies, disarm traps,or scare monsters away, while the wrong ones can wipe the entire team.

You explore procedurally generated dungeons packed with bizarre, voice-reactive monsters, juggling panic, teamwork and self-control as you desperately try not to say something as simple as “okay.”

Add social-deduction Traitor Mode, absurd monsters with personality, and the constant fear of accidental sabotage and you get a co-op game that’s as funny as it is stressful.

Game #4 - Peaks of Yore

THE ORIGINAL PEAK!

GENRE: DIFFICULT, PHYSICS, PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR, ADVENTURE, PLATFORMER

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK (PLAYABLE)

Peaks of Yore is a punishing but strangely peaceful first-person, physics-based climbing adventure set in 1887.

You travel across The Great Gales to summit boulders, cliffs and towering mountains where every handhold matters and every mistake can send you plummeting back down.

Progress comes through trial, error, and persistence - learning routes, mastering movement and slowly improving as a mountaineer.

Between climbs, you meet fellow climbers, unlock helpful gear, decorate your cabin with trinkets from your journeys and soak in the quiet beauty of the mountains.

It’s tense, methodical, and deeply rewarding - a game about patience, skill and respecting the danger of the climb.

I’m making an indie game… (Please wishlist it 🥺)

I’ve been working on my own indie game called “Drive You Crazy Golf”!

The idea is simple… can you beat 100 hole-in-1s?

It’s a brutal mini golf challenge for 1 to 4 players.

If it interests you, then it would mean the world to me if you could wishlist it!

Thank you!!!!

Game #5 - As Long As You’re Here

AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY ABOUT REDISCOVERING THE PAST. (ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE AWARENESS)

GENRE: ADVENTURE, EMOTIONAL, STORY RICH, DRAMA, FIRST-PERSON

Back to Hearth is a quiet,at has lost it.
