🕹️ Cozy Jellyfishing? Simulate Large Scale WW1 Battles, Old School Souls-like Dungeon Crawler, A Nostalgia Trip to the Coin Arcade, A Game with Amazing Movement!

SUMMARY

Welcome back to Indie Game Preachers! 🕹️

❤️ Happy Friday! Hopefully January has treated you well so far… Here are some indie games to cheer you up. :)

Game #1 - Lunacid

DARK FANTASY DUNGEON CRAWLER

GENRE: DUNGEON CRAWLER, DARK FANTASY, FIRST-PERSON, RPG, RETRO

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK (VERIFIED)

Lunacid is a dark fantasy, first-person dungeon crawler that any Souls fan will LOVE.

Cast into the Great Well - a vast, moonlit abyss where society throws away the unwanted - you explore crumbling halls, poisonous depths and ancient ruins in search of the Old One, your only hope of salvation.

Inspired by King’s Field and Shadow Tower, Lunacid strips away modern conveniences in favor of slow, deliberate combat, cryptic exploration and dense, secret-packed level design.

It’s oppressive, mysterious and deeply atmospheric, rewarding patience, curiosity and a willingness to get lost in the dark.

A truly underrapprecaited indie game!

Game #2 - The Coin Game

A LOVE LETTER TO ARCADES AND FAIR GROUND GAMES!

GENRE: ARCADE, LIFE SIM, OPEN WORLD, CASUAL, PHYSICS

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS

The Coin Game is a joyful, obsessive arcade playground that captures the magic of modern ticket arcades, carnival games and mall hangouts - all wrapped into a fully explorable island.

Built by a solo developer, it lets you roam between massive arcades, a traveling carnival, a ’90s-style indoor mall, waterparks, mini-golf, laser tag, go-karting and more!

You play dozens of physics-based ticket machines, redeem prizes, sell extras at the pawn shop and hustle for cash by delivering newspapers or dumpster diving when money runs dry.

Whether you’re surviving on limited funds in Survivor Mode or living it up with unlimited cash in Birthday Mode, it’s a nostalgic, silly, endlessly replayable arcade fantasy.

COMMUNITY VOTE

VOTE: Do you think Hytale is just a rip off of Minecraft? Yes or No?

Note: I’ve moved the voting to indiegamepreachers.com so that the community can comment on opinions and interact with each other etc.

Game #3 - Big Hops

IF YOU LOVE GREAT MOVEMENT, THEN PLAY THIS!

GENRE: PARKOUR, CUTE, ADVENTURE, CASUAL, EXPLORATION

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS

Big Hops is a joyful, ambitious 3D platformer built entirely around freedom of movement and creative problem-solving.

You play as Hop, a young frog kidnapped from home by a trickster spirit, who just wants to get back to his family - but must first traverse massive Forest, Desert, Ocean and Mountain worlds to rebuild an airship.

The core hook is Hop’s incredibly versatile frog tongue, used for swinging, hookshotting, pulling objects, triggering switches, and chaining momentum at absurd speeds.

On top of that, you grow magical veggies that let you build your own paths forward - bounce pads, vines, tightropes, platforms, and more.

With deep movement, expressive exploration, charming characters and a playful tone.

You can tell the dev put a lot of love and effort into this!

Game #4 - Rising Front

RAVENFIELD BUT FOR WW1 AND REVOLUTIONARY WARS!

GENRE: WAR, SANDBOX, SINGLEPLAYER, WORLD WAR I, FPS

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MAC, STEAM DECK (VERIFIED)

Rising Front is a massive-scale, single-player FPS battle simulator that drops you into the chaos of WW1, the Revolutionary War, and beyond.

It’s all about scale and systems: thousands of AI soldiers fighting at once, cavalry charges crashing into infantry lines, artillery pounding the battlefield, tanks rolling forward and planes screaming overhead on bombing runs.

You can fight directly in first-person or pull back and command the battle from above, issuing orders and shaping the fight in real time.

With ragdoll physics, a procedural cover system, base-building and deep Workshop support, Rising Front is less a traditional shooter and more a sandbox for recreating - or completely rewriting - historic warfare at absurd scale.

It’s a lot like Ravenfield but with an historic twist.

I’m making an indie game… (All wishlists appreciated! ❤️)

I’ve been working on my own indie game called “Drive You Crazy Golf”!

The idea is simple… can you beat 100 hole-in-1s?

It’s a brutal mini golf challenge for 1 to 4 players.

If it interests you, then it would mean the world to me if you could wishlist it!

Thank you!!!!

Game #5 - Shelldiver

COZY JELLYFISHING INCREMENTAL

GENRE: CASUAL, MANAGEMENT, ARCADE, RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, IDLER

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK (VERIFIED)

Shelldiver is a cozy, charming incremental game about a senior turtle starting a small jellyfish business beneath the sea.

Armed with a bubble gun and a sturdy little submarine, you dive into colorful biomes to catch weird and wonderful jellyfish, scrap resources from the ocean floor and slowly build up your shop to support your local turtle community.

Progress is gentle and satisfying: upgrade your gear, unlock perks in a branching skill tree, expand your oxygen tank, improve your sub and explore deeper, stranger waters.

It’s relaxed, wholesome, and ADDICTIVE - a game about taking things at your own pace… and maybe squeezing in a nap between dives.

I’m not sure how this one slipped under my radar, but glad to have seen it now!
