Indie Game Preachers - Edition #160

🕹️ Wizard Co-op Chaos (New Lethal Company)! An Emotional Game About Goodbyes! Feed Wildlife their Fav Snacks! Golf but Everyone Plays At The Same Time!

SUMMARY

Welcome back to Indie Game Preachers! 🕹️

❤️ Happy Friday! Another great week for indie games! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Game #1 - YAPYAP

WIZARD CO-OP CHAOS (LETHAL COMPANY + R.E.P.O)

GENRE: ONLINE CO-OP, MULTIPLAYER, COMEDY, MAGIC, HORROR

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MAC

l talked about the YAPYAP demo on here a few months ago and now the actual game has released!

I think this will be the next big co-op hit! You and your friends play as menacing wizards with the aim to cause as much chaos and damage as possible to a rival wizard’s tower.

You are able to cast spells using your voice (via mic) which always leads to the most hilarious and chaotic outcomes. Especially when you are trying to deal with hostile enemies ready to end your mission in an instant…

If you love Lethal Company and R.E.P.O this will definitely be a great addition to your Steam library.

The only downside is that the game could use a bit more content, however, it is still a great time with friends.

Game #2 - Some Goodbyes We Made

TRY NOT TO CRY… A BEAUTIFUL GAME ABOUT GOODBYES

GENRE: STORY RICH, ADVENTURE, CUTE, NARRATIVE, ATMOSPHERIC

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, MAC

Wow! This an underrated and very emotional indie game!

Some Goodbyes We Made is a collection of memories made into 11 minigames.

Each memory revolves around some kind of goodbye.

You experience moments like moving away as a child, performing at graduation, drifting apart from friends or waving goodbye as a train pulls away.

Each memory is expressed through a different gameplay style - visual novel segments, light platforming, interactive storytelling and experimental mechanics - creating a gentle, emotional anthology.

The game has about an hour of playtime and is best thought of as an experience!

If this sounds like your kind of thing, then I recommend you try it!

Game #3 - Creature Kitchen

FEED WILDLIFE THEIR FAV SNACKS! - FINALLY AN INDIE HIT FOR THE RAT ZONE DEVS (THEY MADE THE SUPER UNDERRATED “CHAIRS” GAME)

GENRE: CREATURE COLLECTOR, PUZZLE, SANDBOX, NATURE, FIRST-PERSON

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK (VERIFIED)

I’m so glad to see that The Rat Zone finally have an indie hit!

It is well deserved and long overdue!

They made one of my favourite indie gaming gems of all time CHAIRS, but it never got the attention it deserved!

Now they have a new game and it’s already a major hit!

Creature Kitchen is a creepy-cozy cooking simulator where you befriend strange woodland creatures and cook their favorite snacks in a mysterious house at the edge of the forest.

You explore creaky rooms, search the woods for ingredients and experiment with over 40 recipes to satisfy creatures with very specific tastes.

Some eat right from your hand - others need a little convincing.

With early-2000s inspired visuals, a chill soundtrack, photography mechanics and light exploration, it blends cozy cooking vibes with eerie late-night atmosphere.

A highly unique but fun indie game! Congrats!

Game #4 - Forest Hustle

YOU’VE BEEN DROPPED OFF IN A FOREST - YOU MUST FIND A WAY TO PAY OFF YOUR 100K DEBT!

GENRE: EXPLORATION, CLICKER, IDLER, SANDBOX, PROCEDURAL GENERATION

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK (PLAYABLE)

Starting with basic tools, you chop wood, mine stone and slowly scale your operation into a full-blown resource empire.

As an incremental 3D game, progression is all about optimizing - unlock traders, negotiate deals, upgrade tools, build structures and eventually hire workers (including doggos 🐕) to automate the grind.

With lo-fi tracks playing in the background, it blends chill vibes with strategic money-making, turning a simple forest into your personal cash machine.

Still working on my indie game! Updates coming soon!! (All wishlists appreciated! ❤️)

I’ve been working on my own indie game called “Drive You Crazy Golf”!

The idea is simple… can you beat 100 hole-in-1s?

It’s a brutal mini golf challenge for 1 to 4 players.

If it interests you, then it would mean the world to me if you could wishlist it!

(I’ll have some new updates for you all soon!)

Thank you!!!!

Game #5 - Super Battle Golf

GOLF, BUT EVERYONE PLAYS AT THE EXACT SAME TIME (CO-OP CHAOS)

GENRE: MULTIPLAYER, ONLINE CO-OP, CO-OP, PHYSICS, SPORTS

AVAILABLE ON: WINDOWS, STEAM DECK (VERIFIED)

Similar to YAPYAP, I’m sure this is going to be another co-op indie hit!

This time it’s about golf! The twist is that all players play at the same time.

Which allows you to sabotage and torment other players whilst they try to take their shot.

Want to put off another player? Run them over with a golf cart, fire a rocket launcher at them or even team up with another player to really spoil their shot.

It’s all fair game in Super Battle Golf!

I can see this game resulting in the end of a lot of friendships lol.
