Game #1 - First Cut: Samurai Duel

CHOOSE YOUR MOVE WISELY - THE FIRST CUT IS THE LAST

GENRE: HACK AND SLASH, PVP, STRATEGY, SIDE SCROLLER

I love this game. I first discovered the prototype on Itch and now I love playing the full release version on Steam.

This game is breathtakingly beautiful.

The pixel art is perfect and offers a huge range of gorgeous scenery.

The combat is strategic and incredibly fun.

You only get one chance to win. As soon as your hit you lose the fight.

You can slash, clash, parry, dodge and even shove, but it takes skill to win.

It might take a few tries to master, however, it is worth it.

First Cut also has local multiplayer and Steam remote play together, so you can battle friends endlessly.

Character customization is available so you can bring your own personality and style.

Overview:

  • Intense arcade sword fighting game

  • 1 cut and the battle is over

  • Learn and master samurai combat

  • Local multiplayer and steam remote play

  • AI opponents and custom game modes

  • Character customization

Game #2 - Bloodbourne PSX

BLOODBOURNE DEMAKE / PSX GRAPHICS

GENRE: SOULS-LIKE, ARPG, RETRO STYLE, GOTHIC HORROR

This is ā€˜demakeā€™ of Bloodbourne. A demake is the opposite of a remaster.

It takes a modern game and remakes it in ps1/psx style graphics.

If you love PSX style graphics and Bloodbourne this is a must try.

It is completely free to play and is one of the best indie projects I have seen.

I had a lot of fun playing it.

Features:

  • A fan creation made with love

  • Bloodbourne remade in PSX style

  • Completely free to play

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Introducing Community Spotlight!

A new section in our newsletter that promotes underappreciated community members.

They may be indie game devs, content creators or indie game artists.

We believe their work deserves more attention and we can help them out by liking, wishlisting or sharing their work.

P.S. If you have recommendations for underappreciated devs, artists, content creators etc. just reply to our emails letting us know!

Claudio Tulio - Indie Game Dev

This weekā€™s spotlight is for Claudio Tulio.

I came across their work on Bluesky and canā€™t believe how stunning their scenes are.

They are currently working on 2 indie games and documenting the journey.

The games are called ā€œArticoā€ and ā€œGhost Villaā€œ.

I highly recommend following if you want to see more beautiful updates.

You can support and follow Claudio on Bluesky (here).

Game #3 - Pacific Drive

YOU AND YOUR CAR VS SUPERNATURAL DANGERS!

GENRE: STORY RICH, SURVIVAL, DRIVING, EXPLORATION, SCI-FI

Pacific Drive is an incredibly underrated indie game.

It came out earlier in the year and I think it deserves a lot more attention.

It is a very unique game and the risks paid off.

You drive through a supernatural, surreal exclusion zone in your trusty car trying to make it to the excursion zone.

Along the way youā€™ll see an unbelievable world rich with story, action and adventure.

Youā€™ll have to scavenge and survive, whilst upgrading your car and progressing through a crazy environment.

I think a lot of people will really like this game if they give it a chance.

Features:

  • Enjoy a story driven adventure

  • Adventure and explore and open world

  • Scavenge and discover

  • Upgrade and customize your car

Game #4 - Buckshot Roulette Multiplayer

NOW YOU CAN PLAY WITH FRIENDS!

Buckshot Roulette was a huge indie game hit this year.

If you havenā€™t played the single player game yet, then I highly recommend it.

It is an intense, underground crime, game of Russian roulette.

Your goal is to get out alive and escape with the money.

You receive modifiers that make the game a lot more interesting and strategy driven than just a game of RNG.

This week the game released multiplayer so you can your friends can finally play together.

Game #5 - Die in the Dungeon

A FUN DECK-BUILDING, ROUGLITE WITH DICE

I discovered Die in the Dungeon on Itch last night and though it was a fun game.

You can play in browser right now.

The game has unique mechanics that I really liked.

I managed to get a couple of good runs going.

The team are going to work on a more in depth version of the game that will be released on Steam in the future.

For now I would recommend trying it out on Itch.
