Refer a Friend = +1 Entry
Last week I announced I would be selecting 3 people who referred a friend to our newsletter and buying them whatever indie game they want as a thank you.
I will be randomly selecting the 3 winners in the next hour, so please keep any eye on your email as Iāll be in touch with the winners. :)
Iāll let everyone know which indie games were picked afterwards.
If you know anyone who would like to receive our free email, then you can send them your personal link below. It would really help me out.
Game #1 - Thank Goodness Youāre Here!
AN AMAZING COMEDY ADVENTURE GAME
GENRE: ADVENTURE, COMEDY, HAND-DRAWN
If you are looking for a good laugh and an upbeat game filled with fun, then I highly recommend Thank Goodness Youāre Here!
You adventure through the absurd Northern England town Barnsworth helping the locals with increasingly strange jobs.
The gameās charm comes from itās brilliant comedy and the detail put into every aspect of Barnsworth. Whether it is the residents, the locations, the crazy tasks or the art style.
I think if you want to be uplifted this weekend, then itās a great choice for you. :)
Plus, if you love British accents, then you are in for a real treat!

COMMUNITY VOTE
Last weekās question did really wellā¦ so Iāve decided to give you another impossible choice.
Keep only one...If you could only keep one of the above games and delete the rest, which would you keep? |
Game #2 - Slide in the Woods
A SHORT, BUT GREAT HORROR EXPERIENCE
GENRE: PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR
Slide in the Woods is another great example of what more horror indie games should be.
The premise is simple. You discover a slide in the woods and you decide to slide down it. What could possibly go wrong?
Although the premise is simple, the game manages to make each ride down the slide into a nightmare.
The horror grows each time. You never know what to expect next.
The game is completely free to play and I definitely recommend any horror fan to try it out.

Game #3 - Coin Factory
LEARN AND MASTER TILE COMBINATIONS TO MAXIMIZE YOUR OUTPUT IN COIN FACTORY.
GENRE: CASUAL, STRATEGY, RELAXING, IDLER, PUZZLE
I came across Coin Factory by chance. The game didnāt have many reviews but all of them were positive.
Coin Factory is a game about maximizing your wealth by optimizing your factories and tiles.
There are a large range of modifiers, buildings, factories and tiles that all have unique abilities to help you produce more coins.
If you enjoy strategizing and planning idle builds then I think youāll love this game.
There are also daily and nightly challenges which helps keep the game fresh and makes it well worth the $5 price.

Game #4 - Thomas Was Alone
A BRILLIANT PLATFORMER WITH AN AMAZING STORY.
GENRE: 2D PLATFORMER, NARRATION, STORY DRIVEN, SIDE SCROLLER
Thomas Was Alone is an indie classic, but I donāt think it gets the attention it deserves.
I wanted to highlight it in case you havenāt had time to play it or if you have heard of it before.
It came out in 2012, but is still worth playing today.
Donāt be put off by the simple graphics the game is fantastic and has the ability to make you cry.
The story and gameplay are masterfully intertwined which makes for a really great experience.

Game #5 - Slackers Carts of Glory
HOW IāD LIVE IF I DIDNāT NEED TO WORK :)
GENRE: RACING, DRIVING, ARCADE, SIMULATION, FUNNY
Slackers Carts of Glory is a funny racing game that involves racing down hill in a shopping cart trying to get to a local shop for a drink before it closes.
The runs are jam packed with obstacles and tight turns that will really test you skills.
There are also multiple routes on every level.
So you can optimize your runs and discover shortcuts to try and beat your fastest times.
You can also play multiplayer which is a LOT of fun!

Game #6 - Hidden Folks
A CHARMING DOODLE VERSION OF WHEREāS WALDO/WALLY?
If you love cozy hidden object games, then Hidden Folks is perfect for you.
Itās like a hand drawn and animated version of Whereās Waldo/Wally?
You are given a list of objects to find in the scene.
You then need to search and click to find those objects.
The scenes and characters are interactive, so youāll need to actively click to reveal areas of the map.
It is a pretty relaxing game - with lots of charm.
A great option for pretty much all gamers!
